The ADHD GP continuation service
(currently accepting ADULT patients in the greater Newcastle area)
Our ADHD GP continuation service is currently accepting new patients. In order to be eligible for a GP at the practice to take over your ADHD medication prescribing you will need to be:
18 years of age or older
Currently have a diagnosis of ADHD (either from a paediatrician or a psychiatrist)
Currently taking medication for your ADHD and be on a stable dose of medication
Able to supply a letter from your previous paediatrician or psychiatrist regarding your diagnosis and current treatment (our admin staff can assist you in this process if needed)
For many ADHD patients they have been managed by a psychiatrist previously and may have struggled to find a GP to take over prescribing once stable. For patients in this predicament we have a number of GPs at the practice who are happy to perform continuation prescribing.
. A deposit of $100 will be required at the time of booking. While medicare rebates will apply for your appointment we do not offer bulk billing.
